In response to this need we have organized the Freedom in Crisis lecture tour. Our president, lawyer Shawn Buckley will be speaking to audiences in cities across Canada in an unprecedented series of presentations.
Our goal is to reach out to a new group of citizens, people who may not yet know what is at stake, as well as continuing the conversation with NHP industry stakeholders and government. This lecture tour is a critical opportunity to spread understanding of the impact of dangerous legislation [Bill C-36] and inappropriate rules [NHP Regulations] that are dismantling the NHP industry.
The more people we can reach, educate, get angry and get active, the better chance we have to re-set this unfair, unconstitutional and dangerous trajectory.
We do not have to settle or celebrate minor concessions.
We can re-focus and move forward.

Traveling across Canada, with a groundbreaking presentation, making eight city stops and spending 3 days at Toronto’s Whole Life Expo to spread the word, is a far greater financial commitment. We’re calling on you to help us get our message, your message, with Shawn as our ambassador, across the country.

Firstly: every dollar matched will go directly to this tour lecture initiative.

Thirdly: The funding will go far. We are developing a critical and sensational presentation from the ground up. Not just a lecture detailing the legal and constitutional information citizens need to understand and challenge the issues, but audio-visual presentation, literature, documentation, action packs and support materials designed for all of our stakeholders. The NHPPA will fly Shawn, its national president and constitutional legal expert, from city to city. Accommodation, ground transportation, printing, tour personnel and promotional materials will all be taken care of. Video-taping of each and every lecture in each city, linked on our website and to Youtube, will ensure that these events go viral. The momentum of the Freedom in Crisis tour will continue across the country as people who were not able to attend in person can download, forward and utilise the information in their own way. We plan to wake more people up to the issues, encourage activism and present the truth from New Brunswick to British Columbia.
THE SPIN-OFF FROM THIS TOUR WILL BE INVALUABLE.
Besides demanding media attention, as our energy spreads, the public at large can’t help but gain awareness of the NHP Regulations, Bill C-36, and the Charter of Health Freedom. Through these presentations Shawn Buckley will personally reach over 2000 people, personally. Once his message reaches YouTube, it will spread to tens of thousands more.
At each lecture, the NHPPA will ask public, practitioners and the industry to donate to our work. Tour funding will be seed money for an exponential increase in sponsorship, as a residual effect of this tour will be the generation of new supporters. And “feet on the ground” action groups. New funds will then be put towards national public service announcements and towards getting NHPPA back to Ottawa. The next step must be to meet senior policy makers, to discuss suspending the current NHP Regulations and to introduce the Charter of Health Freedom as a starting point to end this regulatory crisis.
The NHP industry KNOWS the limitations, restrictions, loss of business and loss of livelihoods that will continue to result from these dangerous regulations. Health Canada KNOWS it too. The time has come to confront the bureaucrats head-on.
We ask those NHP stakeholders who agree with NHPPA’s principles, but are not yet supporters, to defy their own fears and confusion to support our work on their behalf.

We are putting everything on the line, and as one of Canada’s strongest voices in opposition to unfair regulation and dangerous legislation, we need your help to allow us to keep on educating people about their rights, freedoms and personal sovereignty.
The NHPPA is giving the NHP industry, and Canadian citizens concerned about their freedom, an alternative. Our goal has been to develop a new meme that allows all of us to consider what we are willing to compromise for “safety”.
As the government moves forward, almost unimpeded, with Bill C-36 and the NHP Regulations, the NHPPA seeks to build an alternate momentum of empowered individuals who will rise to stand up for our health and constitutional freedoms.
Our principle agenda remains to suspend the NHP Regulations, declare them unconstitutional through a legal challenge and offer The Charter of Health Freedom as a regulatory framework that most supports the natural health products industry and our rights and freedoms. However, we see Bill C-36 as a ‘Trojan Horse’ which will reintroduce legislative backing to the NHP Regulations if we do not raise our voices now in support of all Canadians’ constitutional rights. We therefore see no alternative, in the current political climate, but to fight Health Canada’s bid for unconstitutional power on both fronts.
