The Hill Times [Canada’s Politics and Government Newsweekly] published Shawn Buckley’s OpEd “Turning safety on its head: is our Consumer Product Safety Act safe?” in its September 20 2010 issue. Shawn asserts, “Health Canada’s inability to arbitrarily order a recall does not mean we are not protected from dangerous products. It simply means that when the state assumes control of dangerous products they are supervised so that there cannot be state abuses.”
