We started campaigning to repeal Bill C-47 just over 100 days ago. In that short span of time, by banding together with a shared mission, we’ve reached ALL 338 MPs with our postcards, written letters, phone calls, and visits. Last week, our collective efforts were a prominent point of debate in the House of Commons during a briefing held by The Standing Committee on Health to discuss Health Canada’s new natural health product regulations.
What we’re doing is working.
To keep the momentum up, we need to increase our presence and power.

Today we are inviting you to be part of a nationwide movement to protect Canadians’ access to natural health products (NHPs). This is an opportunity to contribute to shaping Canada’s future through the giving of your time and talents to support NHPPA’s critical initiatives.
NHPPA has big and important goals:
- Repeal sections 500-504 of Bill C-47
- Stop cost recovery on NHP businesses
- Stop the Self-Care Framework
- Enact the Charter of Health Freedom as law
- Send a clear message to Health Canada that Natural Health Products should not regulated like chemical drugs
To achieve our goals, we need volunteers who can commit 2-25 hours per week.
We are looking for volunteers with a wide array of skill sets, experiences and interests. This includes clerical and administrative tasks, attendance at live events, interfacing with MPs and Health Canada officials, connecting with health food stores and natural health practitioners, translating our English materials to other languages, web maintenance and graphic design, writing and proofreading, and so much more!
