A recent press release from Consumer Health Products Canada (“Advancing evidence-based self care”) has just announced:
Ongoing sale of unlicensed Natural Health Products is undermining consumer confidence.
It lauds Health Canada’s achievements to date with the NHP Regulations and quotes spokesperson Gerry Harrington on their own research…“We share that expectation and believe that full enforcement of the Regulations will build consumer confidence in the long-term.”
The release warns us to beware of retail outlets still selling unlicenced products and advises consumers to shop at pharmacies which only carry licenced NHPs.
Checking a list of CHP Canada’s Active and Associate Member Companies, you will find it a list of the chemical pharmaceutical companies operating in Canada.
