Fines are meant to be punitive, not destructive.
A $5,000,000 per day fine might be “pocket change” for a large pharmaceutical company, but it would surely bankrupt any natural health product manufacturer, retailer, or practitioner.
This excessive penalty is too harsh and will lead to administrative tyranny.
We are advocating for a future where all Canadians have the freedom to choose how they manage their health. Our only way forward is to stop Health Canada from over-regulating this essential industry out of business.
