Nothing—not even a national mail strike—can stop us!
After spending hours printing papers, stuffing envelopes and sticking labels, our mail campaign was nearly derailed when Canada Post announced their strike.
Rather than giving up, our team quickly devised a backup plan to ensure Shawn Buckley’s brief supporting Bill C-368 reached every Member of Parliament. NHPPA team member Ruby volunteered to make a 6-hour drive to Ottawa, where she passed the baton to Jessica, another dedicated member of our team, who then delivered all 338 MP packages directly to the House of Commons mail depot.
Thanks to the relentless pressure Canadians like you have put on MPs, we made history at the Standing Committee on Health! Damaging amendments were struck down and Bill C-368 was passed back to the House of Commons, where it will move through the Report Stage and Third Reading, heading toward another vote.
We must show MPs that Canadians want natural health products protected from over-regulation!
