Here is your minimum download, the petition page. The Petition for the Charter of Health Freedom already has support from coast to coast to coast, and your clients need the opportunity to add their voice.

Keep your petition pages handy and have some pens available. (We suggest putting them on a clipboard with a pen attached.) Be sure to ask each client whether they already signed somewhere else, as we can only have one signature per person to keep the petition valid.

Have some spare pages available for your clients to take away and pass around their networks at their leisure. Be sure to tell them that you need these pages back before July 16 so that you can include them with your envelop to mail to us.

Many people ask why we want them to sign a physical, paper petition. The explanation is here. This vital information handout is designed to explain how the Canadian government handles petitions, to answer some frequently asked questions and let your clients know how to keep the pages valid for presentation to Parliament.

Here are the requirements for a valid petition page:

Do not write anything else on the page, the wording must not be altered in any way.
Only one signature per person. The signature count must be from unique individuals to be valid.
The person’s name in capitals must accompany their signature.
A postal address consisting of at least city and postal code is vital to prove the signatory is a resident of Canada.

Keep a copy of this beside your petition pages. Make sure that you provide this information handout to anyone who takes a petition away to collect signatures so they know how to keep it valid.
