Shawn Buckley, NHPPA’s President, and Genevieve Eliany, NHPPA’s Vice-President (pictured), were counsel at the Toronto National Citizen’s Inquiry (NCI) hearings from March 30 to April 1, 2023. NCI is a citizen-led and citizen-run inquiry into how all levels of government dealt with the COVID-19 crisis. There are five Commissioners with witnesses examined under oath. Shawn and Genevieve worked with other counsel in preparing and examining witnesses, which included heartbreaking and shocking testimony from the Canadian public to politicians as well as Legal and Medical professionals, brave enough to share their experience and knowledge with the nation. Every one was more and more compelling than the next. The recordings of previous, and upcoming LIVE Inquiry dates are a must watch/listen. It’s content that has been censored by mainstream platforms and traditional methods of investigation.
