Shawn Buckley sits down with MP Dean Allison after the Allison Inquiry for a special live debrief of the Allison Inquiry – Listening to Canadian Covid-19 Vaccine Injured.

From September 8 to 11 on Parliament Hill, MP Dean Allison convened four days of hearings. Some 50 witnesses testified, drawn from more than 1,400 Canadians that were injured by the Covid-19 vaccines. Shawn Buckley was lead counsel for the Inquiry. Teresa Buckley was the Executive Director.

We will hear what it took to start that inquiry, what the room felt like once testimony began, and what the aftermath looks like now that the inquiry is over.

The Allison Inquiry was similar to NHPPA’s Health Charter Tour: The Health Charter Tour gave a voice to Canadians whose lives depend on natural health products; The Allison Inquiry gave a voice to Canadians injured by the Covid-19 vaccines.

The Health Charter Tour and the Allison Inquiry reveal that Canadians are not being heard by Parliament. Our discussion with Dean Allison will explore the challenges MPs face in managing all of the communications and agendas they face. Hopefully we can learn how to better approach MPs as we face challenges with Bill C-224 and the Health Charter.

The summer slow-down is finished. It is time to get busy! NHPPA’s President Shawn Buckley has been called to testify at the Standing Committee on Health on October 5 concerning Bill C-224. We need you to send more letters to the Standing Committee on Health before October 5th.

If you sent a letter last spring, send another. Send several. It is essential that the Committee Members know when they sit next week that Canadians are watching.

They will have forgotten about your letters that were sent in the spring – treat this as a new campaign!

Bill C-224 is in front of HESA

Bill C-224 is a private members Bill that will move natural health products out of the therapeutic product category of drugs. Essential nutrients and natural remedies do not belong in the most dangerous category of drugs such as thalidomide and Vioxx. We need the Standing Committee on Health to know that you support Bill C-224. Flood them with letters in the next week.

The Charter of Health Freedom Petition Must Be Read by Our Government!

Last October we delivered the third-largest paper petition in Canadian history for the Charter of Health Freedom. The sitting government is required by law to respond. A petition of that size does not answer itself. Sitting MPs need to hear that you expect an answer, and that silence is not acceptable.

We have made the next step simple. Go to https://nhppa.org/cohf-26/ and take action. Send the e-letter. Then go further. A physical letter and a phone call reach an MP’s office in a way an inbox often does not. Use all three.

The petition was delivered. Now they have to be read and heard in Parliament. That only happens if MPs feel the demand.

Summer is over. The files are open. Send a letter. Make a call. Schedule a meeting with your MP.

In this episode, NHPPA President Shawn Buckley is joined by Elizabeth Chapman of Canadians for Homeopathy, practising homeopath and clinical herbalist Victor Cirone, and retired medical doctor Stephen Malthouse.

Stephen practised conventional medicine for more than four decades and integrated homeopathy for about twenty five of those years. He puts it plainly: once you see what homeopathy can do, you cannot go back. The panel explains why. Homeopathy treats the person in front of you, not an abstract disease label. That difference, they argue, is why outcomes can be so fast in acute cases and why simply suppressing symptoms can drive illness deeper.

Victor walks through the long-standing split in medical thought between empiricism and rationalism, and why homeopathy sits in a different tradition than the model Health Canada applies to natural products. The discussion also covers combination remedies, working with animals, and why guidance from a trained homeopath still matters even though the remedies themselves have an exceptional safety record.
