Shawn Buckley Testifies Again At The House of Commons

Last week, Shawn Buckley appeared before the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates (OGGO) in the House of Commons to discuss the regulation of natural health products (NHPs).

He opened his testimony by highlighting the critical nature of this issue, stating, “I think it’s timely that this committee is considering the regulation of natural health products. This is the regulatory issue that is of most importance to Canadians.”

Shawn addressed a range of regulatory topics, from plain language on labeling to the perceived “safety” risks of NHPs. During the session, he fielded questions from committee members about how to ensure that Canadians retain access to the natural health products they rely on for managing their health and wellness.

Shawn’s testimony reinforced both the dangers of regulatory modernization and the importance of maintaining regulatory balance while safeguarding health freedom for all.
