Pressure Key Health Canada Bureaucrats

Take Action: Protect Your Right to Access Natural Health Products

Did you know that unelected bureaucrats at Health Canada are driving the over-regulation of natural health products (NHPs)? This includes spearheading the Self-Care Framework, which aims to harmonize the regulation of natural health products with pharmaceutical drugs.

These regulations threaten your access to the natural health products that more than 70% of Canadians rely on to support their health and well-being. Without your voice, these decisions are made behind closed doors, often without fully considering the needs of the public.

Your right to choose natural health products is under threat, but you can make a difference. By reaching out directly to the bureaucrats responsible for these policies, you can demand an end to restrictive regulations that harm consumers and small businesses. Whether by phone, email, or letter, your voice can help ensure NHPs remain accessible and affordable for all Canadians.

It’s time to stand up for natural health. Take the first step by sending an electronic letter today and let Health Canada know that over-regulating NHPs is unacceptable.

Take Action Today!

There are three ways for you to get involved with NHPPA and insist Health Canada stop restricting your access to natural health products:

01

Send an electronic letter

Send an electronic letter to three key Health Canada bureaucrats, and two Health Canada offices.

02

Send physical letters

Choose the letter below that most resonates with you… or you can send multiple letters!

03

Make a phone call

Call these Health Canada bureaucrats and tell them to stop over-regulating natural health products.

Sending Physical Letters To Bureaucrats

1. Write or print your letter

We have provided form letters below. However, if you have the capacity to write your own letter, in your own words, we strongly encourage you to do so. Personalized letters hold much more weight. We have also provided a guide to write your own letter below.

2. Address your envelope to the bureaucrat or office of your choice – or send a letter to them all!

Making Phone Calls

The more personal the communication, the more effect it has! This makes phone calls an excellent option to communicate with our appointed Health Canada bureaucrats.

When you call, make sure you:

  1. Remain respectful at all times.
  2. Prepare your talking points in advance. (You may take inspiration from the letter writing guide above)
  3. Make a clear request such as: I am opposed to the Self-Care Framework, and I expect your office to stop restricting my access to natural health products.
