Tonight on NHPPA Talk Forum: Former MP Colin CarrieTonight! Wednesday, October 28th at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET.Former Conservative MP Colin Carrie joins Shawn Buckley tonight on NHPPA Talk Forum to examine what the gutting of Bill C-224 revealed about how decisions are actually made in Ottawa. The core problem is not simply which party holds power. Carrie will discuss the practical barriers MPs face when trying to understand complex health regulation, the force of party discipline, and why both Liberal and Conservative governments routinely defer to Health Canada even when the results are unpopular and harmful. Watch the NHPPA Talk Forum tonight at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET.
A New Chance for Bill C-224It’s Not Over Yet. Blaine Calkins Has Found A Path To Save 224!
Bill C-224 Is Not Dead. We Need You To Act Now More Than Ever. The fight continues. Liberal members of the Health Committee deleted every clause of Bill C-224, but that does not end the bill. It returns to the full House of Commons at report stage, where MP Blaine Calkins can move to reinsert the clauses the committee removed. This is how the process works: After a committee reports a bill, the House of Commons gets its own chance to review and amend it. Members can propose motions to restore deleted clauses. Calkins has prepared those motions. If a majority of the House votes to restore the original text, the substance of the bill returns. Your earlier letters, briefs, and calls helped keep this bill alive long enough to reach this stage. That work still matters. A new campaign launches next week. We will ask every supporter to write their MP and demand they vote to restore the clauses of Bill C-224. The window is short, so every message counts. Watch for the campaign next week and act every day. When the call goes out, send the letter immediately. Share it. Follow up. Tell your MP that Canadians want the original Bill C-224 restored, not the version the committee emptied. This is the moment to turn earlier support into concrete votes. Take action the day the campaign drops. Keep taking action until the votes are cast.
Homeopathy Network October Replay Is Now AvailableA Case of Feeling Blocked, a Salmon Remedy, and Why Access MattersWhat does a Chinook salmon have to do with chronic migraines, gallstones, and a sense of being trapped? In the latest NHPPA Homeopathy Network, homeopath Victor Cirone walks through a complex case in which a patient’s deepest sensations (a massive rock blocking her path, dread of the deep ocean, fertility struggles after IVF) pointed to a single remedy. The result was a clear illustration of how carefully listening to a patient’s own language can guide treatment in ways conventional approaches often miss. The discussion also covered the regulatory side. Basil Ziv, registrar of the College of Homeopaths of Ontario, explained the high standards, public protection rules, and scope-of-practice requirements that govern homeopaths in the province. Anke Zimmermann, with 36 years of clinical experience, joined the conversation on how homeopathy continues to evolve as a system that addresses both physical and psychological patterns. This matters because access is under pressure. Health Canada previously gazetted cost-recovery proposals that would have made it nearly impossible for suppliers to keep many homeopathic remedies on the market. Bill C-224, which would have moved natural health products (including homeopathics) out of the most restrictive drug category, was gutted at committee. The threat has not disappeared. Watch the full October Homeopathy Network replay. Hear the cases, the remedy reasoning, and the regulatory context in the practitioners’ own words. Then share it with patients and colleagues who want to understand why protecting access to these remedies is essential. If you are a homeopathic practitioner, visit the Homeopathy Network page on the NHPPA site to plug in and help educate your community. The next Network call is on the third Thursday of November.
Volunteers Needed for Charter of Health Freedom Action! We Need People Who Can Put A Few Hours Into the CharterThe Charter of Health Freedom does not advance on goodwill alone. It moves when supporters do the work that decision-makers cannot ignore. We are looking for volunteers who can commit a few hours a week to targeted action in support of the Charter. This is not a one-time ask. It is steady outreach, follow-up, and the practical work that turns broad support into pressure. If you can give that time, we need you.

We are building something essential: NHPPA TV, a dedicated platform for our broadcast content. More than just a TV streaming site, this is part of a larger, secure system of backups designed to keep us online even under censorship pressure. When governments and platforms restrict or remove truthful health information, this system, including NHPPA TV will ensure supporters can still access our shows, updates, and educational material without interruption. The work is underway. Designing, developing, and securing this platform takes real resources. So does keeping the rest of NHPPA operating as an independent, grassroots organization. Any amount helps. Your donation directly funds the infrastructure that protects access to natural health information and keeps this movement connected. We are building the tools to stay live, stay independent, and keep Canadians informed. Donate today and help bring NHPPA TV online.
