Bill C-224 | RescheduledBad news first: Bill C-224 did not resume second reading last week. The good news? This gives you more time to write a letter and call your MP. Yes, old-school. You’ve hit them with thousands of e-letters, now it’s time to send real letters and make calls. Bill C-224 has now been officially rescheduled for debate at second reading on March 10th at 6:30PM EST. This is the moment where MPs debate the principle of the bill — where support is tested, concerns are raised, and momentum is either built or lost. The calendar is no longer uncertain. Voting will take place in Question Period on the 11th. We now have new dates! That gives us a clear window to act.MPs are still forming their positions, and constituent outreach during this stage carries real weight. We are hearing directly that as few as 10 phone calls or physical letters can put an issue on an MP’s radar. You’ve already sent thousands of e-letters. Now is the time to escalate: make the call, send a physical letter, and ensure your MP knows you are paying attention before March 11th. In the lead-up to debate, MPs will be weighing not just party direction, but the volume and consistency of feedback from the people they represent. Every call, every email, every letter reinforces the message that Canadians expect fair, evidence-based regulation and continued access to natural health products. If you have already taken action, do it again. If you have not yet acted, this is your moment. What happens on March 19th will be shaped by what we do between now and then.

Is It Illegal To Be Healthy In Canada? | Shawn Buckley Takes Live Questions on Marc Nixon’s StreamIn a recent live Q&A, Shawn Buckley joined the electrifying Canadian creator, Marc Nixon, to explain what’s really happening to natural health products in Canada — and why action is needed now. The discussion outlined how regulatory changes have placed natural health products into a category designed for high-risk pharmaceuticals, dramatically increasing compliance burdens and penalties. The consequence is already being felt: fewer products, less information, and growing fear among retailers and practitioners to even discuss natural options.
Manufacturing Consent 11 | The Real Reasons For Cloned MeatIn our ongoing series on cloned meat, Shawn Buckley explains why this issue goes far beyond labeling or consumer choice. Health Canada quietly removed cloned animals from the “novel food” category — a decision that allows cloned meat to enter the Canadian food supply without requiring new proof of safety. The result is a structural shift most Canadians have never been informed about. Shawn outlines why regulators cannot allow a real public debate on whether cloned meat should exist at all. Once cloned meat becomes widely consumed, it becomes normalized — and normalization makes meaningful oversight nearly impossible. Public focus on labeling, he argues, serves as a distraction from the larger issue: whether Canadians ever consented to this change in the first place. He also explains why cloned livestock is central to long-term biotechnology strategies, including the use of animals as production platforms for biologics and other engineered products. If this transition occurs quietly, Canadians may lose the ability to question its safety, ethics, or necessity. Once normalized, the debate is effectively over — and the opportunity to challenge it may be gone.
CALL TO ACTION!The crisis facing natural health products is not theoretical — it is unfolding now. Our Crisis Summary outlines exactly how regulatory changes are reshaping the future of access in Canada, and why informed citizens must act before these shifts become permanent. Here’s your assignment: Read the Crisis Summary. Print 20 copies. Bring them to your local health food store. Ask if they will place them at the counter — and commit to printing more when they run out. This is how grassroots movements grow.
